So I was super excited to be invited to a Dine with Ahlan Brunch experience last week. Hi Jasmine! When the editor of Ahlan Gourmet sent me an email asking if I would like to join Ahlan for brunch I was like “This is it Gbemi, you’re now a blogger”. I tweeted through my experience so I doubt I can tell you anything new here, except that the food as super duper awesome and the people were amazing. I welcome every occasion to put myself and Dubai fit foodie out there. so this was an amazing opportunity for me. I met some super cool people including the Editors of Ahlan magazine, Karen from Secret Squirrel, Eve Presenter from Channel 4 and so many other industry influencers. It was awesome.
Location
Cut Dubai, Address Hotel Downtown Dubai. The interior was beautifully lit by the natural light coming from the transparent panel doors with a view of the Burj K. We sat indoors because Dubai and because heat. Menu
So from the menu, you can tell that this was no ordinary brunch. Steak and ribs for brunch? Um. Yes please. I loved the concept! (I had the Slow cooked Wagyu Beef Short Ribs, one word – Juicy)Drinks
I had a Bloody Carrot. It’s a Bloody Mary made with carrot juice instead of tomato juice. You know I love all things carrot so it was definitely one of my favorites, but some people had mixed feelings though.Food
Yum! Yum! Yum! Everything but the main course was served in small platters so the whole table could pretty much help themselves.
I also had the classic Bloody Mary.
My main. The Ribs were really good, but I didn’t particularly like the Masala sauce.
Dessert
Sweet treats galore. My favourite were the small doughnut cinnamonny thingys.
I look forward to posting more reviews and behind the food scenes. How is your weekend going?
