My 30 minutes – Personal Fitness Training

I started my post with “Hi Guys”, and then my friend goes “Why are you always referring to guys? That’s so sexist!” so from now on its “Hi Ladies”. I think most of my readers are female anyway, so it works quite well.

Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, let’s get down to business. As you are aware from the epistle I wrote here I’m back on my fitness grind and I am super excited to bring to you one of the most innovative fitness routines in my repertoire. It is called My30minutes, that’s right a “30 Minutes” workout. Where is my pat on the back? I’ll take a kiss to go with that, thank you very much.

So what exactly is this “My30 minutes” you might ask? It’s a personal fitness-training center in Jumeirah 1, where Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) technology is used to maximize your workout routine in just 30 minutes. When I arrived at the center, I was obviously full of questions but the personal trainer assigned to me Danny was quick to address all my inquiries. The impulse current of the EMS is used to develop strength and muscular development while you work out, this way you have over 16 times the impact of a regular workout. So for every one squat with EMS your body records it as 16 squats. Which is pretty darn sweet.

My trainer was so lively and energetic. She showed me to my training room and gave me a change of clothes. While I changed she prepared my EMS suit, which was basically a jacket and a strap on for my thighs and arms. As I got “armored” Danny took me through a step-by-step guide of the sensations I should expect. She adjusted the EMS feeling in my legs, glutes, abs, chest and arms till I felt comfortable. I averaged 7 on a scale of 1 to 10, which is generally expected for a beginner.

You have to tighten your muscles before the EMS hits, that way you are prepared for the jolt. The sensation is like nothing I’ve felt before, it’s a cross between tingly and shock. Yes, it’s a tingly shock. I chose a strength-training program but they also provide other programs to suit your desired goal. In these 30 minutes you WILL break a sweat, I was surprised by the intensity of the workout but it is such a fun way to make this Beyonce body happen faster.
