Hi guys,
So I think I’m doing pretty well with the restaurant reviews but with thousands of restaurants in Dubai and only 24hours in a day I’ve asked my fellow foodie and sister Eniola to chip in. Here is her experience having Iftar at Warwick Dubai.
“Ramadan in Dubai means Iftar is the new Brunch. It was the first Iftar dinner I attended this Ramadan and I was definitely impressed. The combination of food and art is always a winner in my book, so I was more than excited when I found out that the hotel is also showcasing artwork by a by local artists, 15% of all sales made will go to Mission Himalaya in Nepal.
The food spread was mostly traditional Arab cuisine with everything from Karlkadeh, Laban, Jallab to mouth watering Shish taouk and of course dessert treats like umm Ali and kunafah graced the table. They had me at the live Sharwama station. I was tempted to eat everything, the orignal “Lady in the streets, freak at the buffet”.
To start I had sushi, it was right there in my face and who can say no to raw fish? I continued with lamb couscous and mixed grill, then for dessert I had Kunafa. The staff was very friendly and attentive and I genuinely enjoyed myself. I hope I can go back before the end of Ramadan, its that good.”
I hope you enjoyed her review, till next time, Gbemi x
