On June 21st I had the pleasure of attending the media opening of Dubai Sports World (DSW). It is my first year visiting and I was amazed by the size. DSW is Middle East’s largest indoor sporting venue, you know Dubai “Go big or go home”. Located at the Dubai World Trade Centre it will run on a 10 week schedule of sports, tournaments, academies and activities running.
The venue will feature:
4 pro-standard pitches for five-a-side football
4 pro-standard pitches for seven-a-side football and rugby
4 basketball courts
2 tennis courts
6 badminton courts
1 mini cricket pitch
1 regulation size volleyball court
400m running track loop
It also hosts a skateboarding and BMX park and a well-equipped gym. If you’re more of a “chill out” person you can also visit the table tennis tables and the virtual gaming zone. I love the fact that it provides a wide selection of sporting activities indoors so the Dubai sun is no longer an excuse. Stay FIT!
